Guardians of Independence, the true immortals
Artist's Vision : The “Amar Jawan Jyoti”, placed at India gate
after the India-Pakistan War of 1971 which marks the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier. The rifle placed on its barrel, crested by a soldier's
helmet always tells me that when I take each gulp of air in my lungs,
these guardians of Independence play a significant part in keeping me
alive. They shield the country taking bullets on their chests with a
sole ideology in mind that dying for the country is the path to true
immortality.

Independence Defined…
Artist's Vision : Jai Jawan Jai Kisan was a slogan given to
India by the Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965 during India
Pakistan war. What I feel is that this slogan defined the Independence.
What it signifies is Independence is not a responsibility or possession
of a few sect of people. In 1965 the soldiers had to fight, to protect
the independence, and the farmers had to work hard to reduce import and
make India strong from within. The Independence was sustained due to the
collective efforts of both. So this slogan Jai Jawan Jai Kisan
truly explains Independence as a divine tree, and if we want to enjoy
the fruit, we all will have to protect it by playing our part honestly.

Celebration for many... Earning for a few
Captured this in a friend's marriage in Gujarat.
I do apologize if anyone feels that I have a really bad habit of digging out negativity in some of the most joyous events.... I do have that tendency :D

Silent... NOT Calm though...
Visited Qutub Minar somewhere in march 2012 … saw this there itself …. Felt very scenic ….. I would rather name it as calmness … but don’t know why this pic didn’t appear to be calm … appeared silent though … so is the caption ….
Comments would be motivating …
