The Kaas Plateau

Visited Kaas Plateau in September last year. The place known for carpets of beautiful, multi coloured wild flowers and flat hill tops. Awesome it is.

The best thing is that the flowers bloom for very short period of time, only for 2-3 weeks. So visiting the place becomes even more exciting :D

Because of this, the place has its own attitude :)

Young Sadhu at Kumbh

Visited the Kumbh mela in Allahabad for a day last week (24th Feb).

I was there only for a day and yet I had an experience of a life time. I am also sure that the more time you spend there, the more you would get fascinated :)

Have some pics to post of this trip, but there are pics of 11 trips in queue before this one :P. So thought of posting one pic for now.

For this particular pic, I was hell confused whether I should post it or not. There are families who dress up their kids like this so that they become a centre of attraction, and tourists at kumbh get fascinated, click some pics and pay them. I too did the same. I thought am I promoting this by publishing the pic? Am I using the kid to gain any possible form of popularity? Then thought do these families have any other option? Am I being too theoretical idealist and not accepting the real situation? At least the kid and the family are putting some efforts in dressing up like this to earn money.

In the midst of confusion, I am finally posting this pic because I won’t deny the fact that this has fascinated me like anything. The pic reminds me of slumdog millionaire, the scene where a kid is dressed up as Lord Rama.

Apologies if anyone thinks I shouldn’t have posted this pic.
