The Devil Inside

Captured this Selfie with my Nexus 5 phone.

Did the editing in lightroom, which includes adjusting exposure, contrast, shadows, highlights, clarity, whites, backs and radial adjustment to change the color of the eye

My other Self PhotoShoot project, or should I say feeding my insane desire, includes the following

Journey ~ CTQ – Annihilation Awaits

‘Journey ~ CTQ’ means ‘Journey ~ Completing Texas Quadrilateral’. This is the name I gave to the 3 day road trip I had with friends from 30-AUG-2014 to 1-SEP-2014.

The extra white in the line of the subject is deliberate. I tried to give a explosion effect.

What you lookin at ...

Shot this pic in Feb 2013 at Allahabad. In those days I was not shooting in RAW. It was the Kumbh mela and I was crossing the big bridge.

And I just stuck my head out of the fast moving slow queue and looked down and saw this beauty.

I always knew that I am never a bird photographer coz that genre needs too much patience and I need to use the allotted patience in other areas of my life :D

But this time I thought let’s give a first and probably last try. And I shot this pic.

Here I would like to take a moment and salute to all the bird photographers out there. Man the patience it needs is excruciating.

I was half way out of the bridges aiming down at the bird waiting for that look I had imagined. Had to be in that position for at least 10 – 15 minutes to get this pic.

Didn’t publish it yet coz I always thought it’s not that great. But I was proud of the effort I had to put in for this and so finally decided to appreciate my effort :)

Journey to the Big Apple - The Flag up the Brooklyn Bridge

This Bridge itself is worth investing hours in New York.

Great location to shoot the awesome subjects you see near this bridge and the bridge itself.

I have read articles that one shouldn't publish same subjects in multiple versions, well I try not to but couldn't resist this time :)

Journey to the Big Apple - The Wall Street Beast

The Famous 'Charging Bull' OF the Wall Street.

I wanted to get a complete shot of the bull, but this bulls seems to be quite popular among humans. Got to see at least 50 overly enthusiastic tourists around the big guy.

It was never possible for me to get the shot of the complete bull so I thought of taking pics of my friends with the bull.

All of a sudden I got this scene with my friend perfectly placing the hand on the bull. I selfishly removed him out of the frame keeping his hand. The result I got was satisfactory :)

Journey to the Big Apple - Smile in the Making

The next addition to the project ‘Journey to the Big Apple’.

You can see brilliant sketch artists on the streets of New York using the pencil as a magic wand.
Wanted to cover more area in this pic, covering the sketch artists and the boy more. Unfortunately I had a 55-250 lens which as many would know is not that helpful when the subject to photograph is close to you.

The cropped right side of the kid in the pic was the biggest disappointment for me, but I loved that the kid is not smiling yet the sketch artist draws a smiling face. That for me was dramatic and so comes the caption.
